Oh child nutrition, you get me every time! I won’t rant too long today about the carb and sugar loaded options palmed off as “breakfast” that set kids up for attention problems along with the inevitable “crash” when the sugar wears off.
It’s not great for adults either. Too much sugar (of all sorts) is linked to obesity which is linked to almost every preventable disease known to man. Why are we setting kids up this way?
If you are fortunate enough to read this, and you are ready to get more out of breakfast for your little Einstein, feed her protein. An egg would be a great start! Boiled, poached, fried or scrambled…the options are endless and the advantages immeasurable!
